Ron Jurado

Ron Jurado, CPMA, joins Montes HealthCare College (MHCC) with over 30 years of experience in medical management, hospital revenue cycle management with an emphasis on revenue recovery, and medical coding and billing instruction in postsecondary settings. He is also a Certified Professional Medical Auditor (CPMA) with the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC). Mr. Jurado has the experience to enhance medical coding reimbursement management systems and vocational education programs.

Mr. Jurado possesses knowledge of current ICD-10-CM, HCPCS, and AMA CPT-4 terminology useful for administrative management purposes, such as medical claims processing and auditing, and for the development of guidelines to perform medical chart review, coding abstraction, and revenue integrity checks. He also possesses a supervisory understanding of Medical Claims Denials with Claim Denial Adjustment Processing.

Mr. Jurado has 20 plus years of experience in student vocational instruction and medical care provider instruction, in technical writing, and in design, development and delivery of objective-based training programs for medical coding and billing that are consistent with adult learning theories. He possesses substantial experience in using technology to develop and deliver educational products and services, technical training, online group meetings, and instructional workshops.

Mr. Jurado knows that successful students become successful healthcare professionals. His passion for instruction and teaching are driven by a self-imposed responsibility to lead, inspire, and motivate his students to be not only better professionals but ultimately better people.
